Elaine is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)and Chair of the ACCA Scotland Members Committee. She is also a member of the Financial Reporting Council Stakeholder Involvement Group.
Elaine is responsible for annual reporting of audit quality standards and audit appointments across the Scottish public sector.
She is passionate about disability equality and was included in the Shaw Trust list of 100 influential disabled people in the UK in 2020 and 2022. In January 2023 Elaine was awarded an OBE in the King’s new year’s honours for public and charity services.
